- Responsibilities: The Network Administrator must be a self-starter, motivated to maintain a reliable and stable networking environment. Responsible for physical installation and maintenance of both wired and wireless networking equipment. The Network Administrator must have working knowledge of networking media including optical. Will be required to troubleshoot network problems, perform upgrades and other network maintenance tasks. The Network Administrator must be able to perform networking troubleshooting for most operating systems and network related hardware. - Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree is required to carry out the duties of this position and to use the skills accumulated with a degree to effectively communicate with technology experts as well as students, vendors and all levels of university employees. Employment history and/or educational background must reflect a minimum of three years in the technology field as a network/server administrator or systems programmer with a minimum of three years of experience in network technologies, client firewalls, network protocols and the ability to implement basic LANs/WANs and associated systems.
